Our Jane Austen Tour takes you to the most important locations associated with one of England’s most celebrated authors and can be taken at any time of the year, summer or winter. As 2025 is the 250th anniversary of Jane Austen's birth there is no better time to experience one of our tours and capture the essence of this romantic author.
After collection from your hotel our tour could take you to the 17th Century house in Chawton where Jane Austen spent the last eight years of her life. It is of international importance as the place where she did the majority of her mature writing, but at the same time retains the charm of a village home. You will then be taken to Jane Austen’s birthplace where she lived from 1775 to 1801, and where she wrote Pride & Prejudice, Northanger Abbey and Sense & Sensibility. It would also be appropriate to visit Winchester where Jane died on 18th July 1817. She is buried in Winchester Cathedral and you can see a memorial gravestone in the nave.

Our basic Jane Austen tour can be done in one day. However, if you would care to spend a little more time then there are more places that you could explore, Bath, for example. Or you could investigate some of the filming locations used to bring her romantic stories to the big screen. Whichever sites associated with Jane Austen you wish to visit, we can construct a bespoke itinerary for you.
